Eleaocarpus hookerianus

Pokaka is found from Mangonui southward growing 4-6m in scrub and forest. It has a distinct juvenile stage
with a tangle of twisted branches before it produces a main stem forming the adult stage. Both stages can be
seen on the one plant. Needs to be planted where there is plenty of moisture and some shade.
