Spiral Aloe grows low (30cm) with leaves in a very distinctive spiral shape. It does not seem to sucker or produce off-shoots, but can form small, dense clumps of seedlings. The fat, wide, serrated, gray-green leaves have sharp, dark leaf-tips. It has pink to red flowers in early summer. Native to Lesotho in Southern Africa. Our plants are grown from tissue culture, the spiral shape develops with maturity so ours will take longer to develop the spiral than seed grown plants.
